The first logo was nowhere NEAR as cute as this |
This has been a wonderful two years and I've loved writing my blog and sharing my thoughts, projects, recipes, and ideas with all of you.
So, to thank you for sticking with me through it all, I've decided to have a giveaway. There will be one winner, who can choose one of the following fabulous prizes. Each one of these has been chosen to celebrate one of my favorite blog entries from the last two years.
- On Food and Cooking: The Science and Lore of the Kitchen - Menu Planning Monday
- Mastering the Art of French Cooking, Vol. 1 - Julia I Ain't
- Charcuterie: The Craft of Salting, Smoking, and Curing - Bacon, by Mr. Scrimp
- A scarf, t-shirt, or cardigan from Maggie's Organics - Why Organic?
- Roma Traditional Style Pasta Machine - Recipe: Homemade Pasta
So, what do you need to do to enter?
You can enter up to five times, because I like symmetry. Here are the ways to do it:
- Follow Scrimpalicious on Facebook and share it on your wall
- Follow Scrimpalicious on Twitter and tweet about it to @scrimpalicious
- Leave a comment telling me which prize item you would pick if you won, and why
- Write a post about the giveaway on your own blog and link back to this post and the Scrimpalicious main page
- Pin a picture from a Scrimpalicious blog post that you like to Pinterest
Once you've taken one (or all) of the steps above to enter, the last thing to do is leave a comment on this post telling me that you did it. The winner will be picked at random from the comments section, so be sure to leave one comment per entry to maximize your chances of winning. That means that if you want all five entries you need to leave five comments.
If you choose to blog about the giveaway, please include a link back to the blog post in your comment.
The winner will be announced on October 15, so you've got two weeks to get your entries in.
Note: If you already follow the blog on facebook or twitter, just go ahead and let me know that and it will count for an entry.
Ready, set, and... Go!
I'll be first, I guess :)
ReplyDeleteI'd totally take the pasta machine since that is one type of homemade things I have yet to try...one of the few, I think. But homemade pasta would be awfully fun!
Thanks and congrats on two years!
Heather
I would most like the shirt from Maggie's Organics. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI would love the pasta machine. I have been slowly trying to make all our food from scratch and pasta is something I haven't tried yet! I so want to make pasta!! Congrats on 2 years!
ReplyDeleteShared and following on Facebook!!
ReplyDeleteOh, and for the thing I'd like...Pasta Machine ;)
ReplyDeleteFollowing on Facebook - I don't have the other services set up. You have some neat articles. If I won, I would choose "Charcuterie: The Craft of Salting, Smoking, and Curing" since I am looking for ways to preserve meat without freezing.
ReplyDeleteHi! Since this is my first time leaving a comment here, I'll start by saying that I really enjoy reading your blog! I especially like all the natural living posts. Now, contest stuff: I just "Liked" your page on FB. I would pick the Maggie's Organics option.
ReplyDeleteI also am now following you on The Twitter, and I'd still go with the Maggie's Organics option (which, by the way, has AMAZING prices on organic clothing--I'm in awe, actually!).
ReplyDeleteOh, me...I just noticed that the "say what you'd pick and why" part is separate from the other entry options. Great. Now I've screwed up and look ridiculous, all within my first three comments on your blog. Ok. I'd pick the Maggie's Organics option because I really like the basics options offered and I'm trying to incorporate more organic fibers in my clothing and household goods.
ReplyDeleteHey! I love this idea! I wanted to put in my entry by telling you what I would love to win and why :) If I won, I would choose one of the organic articles of clothing. I absolutely love scarves and have enough cheap ones from Old Navy and Target that I would love a beautiful new one that's ORGANIC! Love it. Any new piece of clothing can really lift the mood for a day or two, and with the recent IF journey I've been on, a good scarf can go a long way in my book. I love that you're doing this and now that I know about your blog, I'll be checking it out :) Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteShared and following on fb!!
ReplyDeletePinned a pic on pinterest...yay!
ReplyDeleteI have shared a link on my blog! :)
ReplyDeleteFun, fun! Congrats on 2 years of blogging!
ReplyDeleteI have to decide now? Everything's so great, it's hard to make up my mind. I am pretty sure I would choose the first cookbook, because it sounds like a great cookbook. Otherwise I'd choose the pasta maker because it sounds fun, but realistically I probably wouldn't use it much!
The first cookbook sounds really neat. It might help me make more things from scratch and experiment on my own. I love cooking but I usually use recipes or do just minor variations on things I've made before.
ReplyDeleteYay for 2 years!
Two years, that's great! Woot woot for blogging!
ReplyDeleteI would choose the charcoal colored cotton wrap from Maggie's Organics. That just looks like the epitome of an "essentials" item ~ and it's very obviously missing from my closet. :)
Thanks for inviting us over from HP. :) I just started following you on Facebook and shared your link. :)
ReplyDeleteI think I would probably choose something from Maggie's Organics. Hadn't seen that company before, so thanks for sharing. :)
ReplyDeletehmmm, tough choice.
ReplyDeletei'd like to make my own pasta, so the pasta maker.
but i'd also like to learn about smoking and salting...
and i'd also like a new shirt.
hmmmm...
Love this giveaway! So many choices-so much fun! I followed and shared on fb, will be following on twitter next.
ReplyDeleteI'd totally go for the pasta maker. I love pasta and the idea of fresh pasta is awesome. :)
I'm a facebook fan - Send Julia Child my way! Why? My husband can correctly pronounce "boeuf", and he sounds really cute when he says it.
ReplyDeletelove this give-away...so many useful things! Would love to win the pasta maker...I have been looking at getting one of these!
ReplyDeleteSuch a hard choice but after looking at Maggie's Organics - Why Organic? store, I'd pick something from there.

Ohh, fun giveaway. I would love the stuff from Maggie's Organics, and the pasta machine would be my second choice.
ReplyDeleteI started following you on Facebook!
ReplyDeleteI am following you on Twitter and sent you a tweet (from scrappyhappymom).
ReplyDeleteIf I won, I'd choose Mastering the Art of French Cooking, because it has been on my wish list *forever* and because “You'll never know everything about anything, especially something you love.”
ReplyDeleteI pinned the Puppet Theater and the Road Rug on Pinterest. :)
ReplyDeleteI would love the Roma Traditional Style Pasta Machine...I've been wanting to learn how to make my own pasta for years now!
