While surfing the web this morning, I came across this little piece at Greenopolis.
Titled "18 Green DIY Lamps You Can Make Before Dark," it's a collection of links and photos with inspiration, directions, or links to kits for lighting made from repurposed around-the-house (mostly) materials.
Definitely be sure to get a load of my two favorites, the cardboard fairy lights (pictured here), and the plastic cutlery chandelier.
That's awesome! I definitely would not have guessed that those are made out of cardboard at first glance. The things people are able to come up with. But why do I feel like mine would look like a 3rd grade recycling project? ;)
ReplyDeletePS - an awesome project we actually did do in the 4th grade was to make a landscape/cityscape/scene of some sort using recycled materials. My friend and I made a pretty fabulous amusement park - the egg carton ferris wheel particularly stand out in my memory.
The Blender Lamp is a riot! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI actually made the fairy lights. Jesse and I have our apartment covered in Christmas lights all year round - so this project brings them out of looking like purely Christmas lights. That's AWESOME!!!!
